Group Session Subscription Details

At Journey we have a very clear ethos – outstanding education and experiences for all. In order to make that possible,  all of our weekly group sessions are bookable on a subscription basis. Whilst most of our academic lessons are less than £12 per session with an outstanding qualified teacher (extra curricular online sessions are even less), we make it even more affordable by spreading it out across the year. For non-exam years we spread the cost over 12 months (or the remainder if you join later in the academic year), or over 10 months if it is an exam year (there are less lessons too).

You may have a few questions of how this is going to work, and so here is some guidance:

1)  Fees are due on the 1st of the month for the month commencing.

2) Fees are taken from your nominated direct debit.

3)  Payment will change each month, depending on how many lessons are scheduled in that month.

4) We work to the Doncaster School Term Holiday Schedule, therefore lessons are scheduled in term time only.

5)  If you have sessions in different subjects, you will be sent different link subscriptions for these, allowing subscriptions to be increased or decreased in separate subjects as and when necessary.

6) Unfortunately we cannot give a refund for sessions that you do not attend, as your place is reserved with the teacher.

7) However, if we have space in another class, you are free to use it if have to miss a class.

8) Once signed up, you don’t need to do anything else, the system will process monthly on your behalf until you no longer require the sessions.

Important Information about Notice period

It is easy to cancel your place at Journey. Simply follow the guidelines below:

  • Once you no longer need your place at Journey, please email our admin team at admin@journeyeducationgroup.co.uk
  • We require 1 months notice to cancel your place. This is because your teacher is paid upfront for your place, and we need to protect the group to ensure it can still take place for other learners even if you no longer need us.
  • As you pay upfront for the month, the month’s notice will be for the following month after the one you have currently paid for.
  • Please ensure the month’s notice is received before the final day of the month- to hand in notice for the next month to come.

One to One Subscription Explanation

You may have a few questions of how this is going to work, and so here is some guidance:

  4. You are charged for exactly how many sessions the learner will have that month
  5. We work to the Doncaster School Term Holiday Schedule, therefore lessons are scheduled in term time only (unless otherwise required by yourself and agreed with the teacher).
  6. If you have sessions in different subjects, you will be sent different link subscriptions for these, allowing subscriptions to be increased or decreased in separate subjects as and when necessary.
  7. Sessions can be carried over as long as at least 24 hours notice of cancellation is given. Please Note: There is no give way on the cancellation period, due to being unable to change educator schedules with less than 24 hours notice.
  8. If holidays and absences are given in advance of the month, sessions can be cancelled off the upcoming monthly subscription, to save the need to carry them over.
  9. Once signed up, you don’t need to do anything else, the system will process monthly on your behalf until you no longer require the sessions.
