Journey Education Tutoring: Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions

Below we have detailed our terms and conditions.

  1. Bookings must be made for the entire academic year and any missed sessions are still payable.

  2. Your booking is not confirmed until payment has been received. Paid for spaces will be given priority.

  3. We don’t issue refunds for missed sessions due to your own circumstances.

  4. Payments will be returned if a class has to be cancelled due to minimum numbers not being achieved.

  5. For one to one lessons we operate a 24 hour cancellation policy – if this notice is not given the fee must still be paid

  6. One month’s notice of withdrawal from sessions is required. This notice period is payable as per your normal subscription payment. Notice must be emailed to tutoring@journeyeducationgroup.co.uk by the last day of the month to be counted for the following month. Notice received during that month will be for the following month. For example – notice received on the 1st of January will be notice for February. Therefore please ensure you send notice before the end of the month if you no longer need your space.

  7. Journey or any of their staff are not responsible for any loss or injury during the class.

  8. Journey reserves the right to remove students from our programme, without refund, anyone who is found to be bullying, misbehaving or displaying disruptive behaviour.

  9. You must declare all medical conditions during registration and keep us up-to-date should this change by emailing us at admin@journeyeducationgroup.co.uk.

  10. You must declare if you do not want your child to be photographed for marketing use, and keep us up-to-date should this change using the given email address or phone number.

  11. If there are any sessions missed due to Journey’s error, we will offer a make-up session/s to counteract the error, however in circumstances where Journey cannot offer this provision, parents will be refunded. In usual terms – more than one session will be proposed to ensure maximum chances for students to attend.

  12. It may be necessary over the years to increase tuition fees from time to time but if this is ever necessary a terms notice will be given.

  13. Lessons will not take place during the usual public holidays. However, there may be additional booster sessions/workshops organised as a separate entity to the normal term sessions.

  14. If a student is more than 10 minutes late to an online session, without advising us prior with the reason for lateness, they will not be admitted to the meeting as this delays the class for other students.

  15. Either party may terminate the one to one Agreement by giving a weeks notice in writing to the other at tutoring@journeyeducationgroup.co.uk.

  16. While the tutor will make every reasonable effort to improve your knowledge and ability, you cannot expect to improve unless lessons are attended and with full co-operation in lessons.

  17. When using the facilities provided by Journey at The Hub – parents and students will ensure that children are supervised and not allowed to disturb employees and classes using the facilities.

  18. Parents and students are welcome to use the free refreshment facilities but must clean any kitchenware and surfaces used.

  19. By proceeding with the booking, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions set out above, and agree to be bound by them. Legal action will be taken to retrieve all and any unpaid fees. None payment will therefore affect future credit applications.

If you have any questions regarding these terms and conditions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
